The rocket man had a successful upper GI yesterday. M and I were prepared for a scope and possibly sedation. Mom and dad both "appeared" to be calm, but I think both were a bit on the nervous side. We really didn't know what to expect for a GI series on a 2 month old. Good news was that it only involved taking pictures. The little guy was mad. The appointment was at 10:45 and he couldn't eat after 6:30.
Our little man is a flirt. For those of you who were fortunate enough to know M before I came into his life, you would probably agree that he gets this trait from his father! You might also remember that M has deep, green eyes and thick, long eyelashes - which he used to his advantage when talking to the ladies...Well, my handsome little fella has those same eyes! Anyway, he quickly made friends with the receptionist. She left her desk to come over and talk about how "fine" he was in his sweater (thanks Kelli and Lindsey) and cool kicks (baby bowling shoes). He made eyes at her and smiled his half, flirty smile. Then, in the exam room, he was all eyes and gums at the x-ray tech!
So, they only let one parent in the exam room. I went. Micky was a little miffed. He usually does this kind of thing...but J is a momma's boy, so I went. Micky was so bothered by this, that he went back to the receptionist and gave his sad story about how mom went in first, and they wouldn't let dad in. So, she let him go back and sit next to the exam room door. When we were done, there he sat all sad looking.
J took the "juice" like a champ. Good news - there were no obstructions and he did not spontaneously reflux. They took pics after 10 minutes, and I don't know what that showed. The doc. said this good news did not mean that my guy didn't have reflux. It just meant that there wasn't anything that needed to be fixed. We see the pedi next week.
I have pics to share of Poppa and Choo Choo's visit and our house...more to come later!

Little guy took it like a champ. I am so impressed. I hope he gets all this straightened out. Is Miss Ava handling sisterhood well? Take care!
