Sadly, my maternity leave came to an end last week.

I will say that J and I had a long talk about the fact that when he decided to soak up all of that fluid in the 3 weeks before he was born, he took away precious time with his mommy. Instead of sitting at home by myself, I could have been at home with him for at least 2 more weeks! We discussed that all of our actions have consequences. It was an important life lesson for him. He took the news pretty well, considering he gets to go to Gran and Grandpa's during the day. Where, he is held whenever he wants to be held and he sets the daily schedule! Okay, so he gets those things at home too! What can we say, he is spoiled! And, you know what...I don't really care! Judge all you want! It took us 3 years to get this precious little boy, and I will hold him and soak him up as much as I want. It is such a sweet time to just sit and hold him, rocking quietly or snuggled up in the chair, praying prayers of thanksgiving and asking for guidance in raising my son to live his life according to God's will. And, for the record, M talks a big game, but he holds him just as much as I do (when I catch M looking at him, I ask if it is like looking in a mirror ;o)!)

He still has visitors at Gran's! One day, after I picked him up, he and I were sitting watching the news, and I could smell this familiar smell. I looked down and asked him if Maw-Maw had come for a visit! His big, bright eyes confirmed! I had to call Maw-Maw and tell her that J told me she had come for a visit!

Work is busy, which keeps my mind off of the fact that I am missing my boy! I have had about 2 days where I just hated being there and wished I was at home.

Gran and Grandpa will keep J until after the March TAKS test. this is my first time to coordinate TAKS, and, I need to know that he is in good hands. If I have to stay late (which I will) I won't have to worry! Then, that pretty much gives us spring break to transition. I owe my mom and dad alot for helping us out!

Okay...so you know I want permission for the "private" blog, right?

Sorry about all that going back to work business. I wouldn't want to go either but it sounds like he's in great hands!!

And let's not let so much time go in between postings, okay? Thanks!
