Biggest Loser

Still want to follow the blog? No problem! Just send us an e-mail, and we will add you to the approved list! Pretty soon, those who have already sent an e-mail will get added to the list! Be patient - I am a working mom of a 5 year old and 7 week old! bburnfamily@gmail.com

So, M and I have been on a weight loss regimen for the last month! We have been doing pretty good (both have lost about 15 pounds each - we have alot to lose here), however, neither one of us is losing at the rate we would like. It was pretty fast at first, but has slowed down. I am pretty sure the chicken fried steak and hamburger and fries we ate last weekend didn't help much. And, we sold our awesome treadmill last year when we moved. So, obviously we have a self-control and lack of exercise problem here. We have tried to be supportive and encouraging, but as I was just sitting and watching Biggest Loser, I am thinking our strategy needs to change....

So, I am officially moving out of supportive, loving wife mode and into challenger, game on mode! Should I tell him? Or, should I let him think we are still being all sweet and supportive...only my encouragement would be a little on the passive aggressive side in order to sabotage his weight loss? Hmmm...

I have the calorie counting, low carb living thing down. I am far too busy at work to snack during the day, and I drink water like a camel! My only problem is time for exercise. Okay, so I could walk the school 3+ times every day - briskly. I could do squats and lunges while walking Jett around the room when he is fussy (pretty much every night after at least one of his feedings). Hmmmm....other suggestions? Time is a precious comodity around here! Mrs. Giusti showed me where to get a weighted hula hoop, which would really help with the just-had-a-baby tummy.

BTW - this new found motivation isn't just from watching BL, it also came from the fact that the cleaner's LOST my clothes yesterday!!!!!! SERIOUSLY??????? ALL of the pants that fit, and look good, were in there! No worries, Quan found them. He didn't offer to refund my money or anything, but the clothes were found. Crisis averted! Just won't be using that cleaner's anymore!

I am so proud of ya'll. I have the whole motivation thing but yet can't seem to find the will. I wish we had the excuse of selling our eliptical, yet it is still in the spare room collecting dust. Good luck girl!

Pkay so here is how to make your header. You can go to www.scrapblog.com and create your own page with what ever you want - so stinkin easy. Then save it to your computer. After that uplooad as your header gadget - make sure to check shrink to fit. Have fun - can't wait to see it! Hope you are all doing well.
