Poppa and Choo Choo came to visit a few weeks ago. M had to give directions from Lubbock that detoured around Houston because Jimmy HATES even the thought of driving in or around Houston. It was a long trip, but they made it!
A was excited to have everyone eat lunch with her at school. After eating with A, M took his parents on a tour of the area and to the port of Houston, where they toured the San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas. Later that night, we treated all the grandparents to chicken fried steak at the local cafe at the regional airport. After dinner, we had fun playing the Wii...Have I mentioned how much momma wants a Wii Fit?.
On Saturday, Choo Choo took A shopping. Then we all went furniture shopping. Judy was looking for new furniture for their remodel and we were searching for a kitchen table. We showed them our house and the model home. We are about 30 days out from closing - WOO HOO!
On Sunday morning, Jimmy was up before the sun, with the car packed and ready to go. He doesn't like any bed but his own, and he was ready to get home! Even though their visit was short, it was good! They loved meeting J and catching up with A. We keep telling them that they can come down with Gary and Jeanine whenever they visit Brent. Now that Jimmy is retired, maybe they will consider a few more road trips!
