We plan on returning back to the Houston area tomorrow morning. Much of Angleton still does not have power, but reports are that 30% of the town is back on line. Our or Kim's parent's house are still without power but hope to be back on in a day or two. We are taking 5 days worth of food and water with us as well as about 20 gallons of gas. We also purchased a generator on Saturday to use if needed. Initial reports are that our and Kim's parents houses sustained very little damage.
Tracey's (Kim's sister) home in Deer Park survived with some damage and they already have power. Tracey's in laws also have power in Columbia Lakes (about 7 miles from Angleton) and they have extended an invitation for us to stay there until we get power on at home. We'll update everyone once we arrive back home and surveyed the area. There is currently a dusk to dawn curfew and they are limiting anyone from just 'driving around'.
