Ava went roller skating for the first time a few weeks ago...I found myself wondering if I was in fact the poor parent I thought I was, considering my 5.5 year old had never even had a pair of skates on before. But, upon arrival at the birthday party, I felt a little better to see that most of the kids in her class were being held up by their parents...except for the self-taught little girl, who after getting the invitation, made her parents buy her skates and she taught herself in the living room - on carpet! It was fun, but you know...skating rinks haven't changed at all, and neither have the people running them....or...at least not this one....

Too funny. I will have to remember to teach the little ones. Hope you are doing well.
it is hard for me to imagine a house that i've never been in and what i want to take out. i'm sure you get that. i do think about the cleaning of it and it scares me. sometimes i struggle with my 2500 i have now. but there will be 5 of us in this thing! i'm trying to think of when the 3 little ones are teenagers, yikes! we are meeting up tomorrow night with the architect, i'll keep you posted. hopefully i will give up more!
