A better angle!We thought it would be fun to start sharing some fun things about Angleton and the surrounding area for our friends who have never had the pleasure of visiting! The first and probably the most exciting thing is the giant statue of Stephen F. Austin welcoming you into Angleton. He is the father of Texas, and this statue is a tribute to his contributions to settling Texas. There are many other historical sites in Brazoria County linked to SFA. At one time I knew the history, but now, sadly I do not, and I do plan on finding out....because....I know...my avid blog readers are just dying to know!
